Women’s Initiative
Cohen Seglias recognizes the value of a diverse workforce and is committed to the retention and advancement of its professional women. The Women’s Initiative brings the women of the firm together to enable career growth through mentoring, networking, and marketing opportunities.
The program consists of quarterly in-house programs, led by prominent members of the legal and business communities as well as in-house senior management, to facilitate conversations about professional development and relationship building. These meetings cover topics including personal branding, work-life balance, leadership, and self-promotion. The firm also hosts special Women’s Initiative events such as golf clinics and works with women’s groups from other companies to facilitate networking opportunities in a relaxed setting.
Women lawyers at Cohen Seglias sit on the firm’s executive committee, serve as the chief operating officer and office managing partners, and lead firm-wide committees. The firm also encourages its women lawyers to participate in trade associations such as the National Association of Women in Construction, Women Construction Owners & Executives, Women Impacting Public Policy, and Women in Defense.
